Scratchings have thinned this race right out. MADRINA (5) dominated first-up at Hawkesbury then raced on the speed but tired at the end of 6f at Randwick last start. Back to her pet trip and is the winner of two from three when third-up. Hard to beat at a decent price back at the midweeks. CONFIDENTIALITY (13) kept her 100% top three stats intact when a closing second over 5f at Randwick last time out. Taking on older horses today and she is untried in wet conditions but there is more upside to her than the rest of this field. SILENCIO PORFAVOR (15) last appeared 23 days ago when a closing third over this distance at the Kensington track. Takes on a better field today but he is honest and will be prominent for a long way. GLORIOUS MOMENTS (1) returns from a ten-month break. Won two from two last prep off a 15-month lay-off. Talented and McDonald's booking is a good leg-up.
