Verdict

Progressive three-year-old PAPPA BLUE (7) made it two in a row when he comfortably took out a BM64 over 7f at Kembla last start. Getting through the line well so the extra 1f holds no fears. The ratings suggest he has what it takes to go to this level. OSO SPIRITED (8) is another lightly raced conveyance heading the right way. Resumed with a powerful on pace win in a maiden over this course and distance four weeks ago. Trialled subsequently to keep her up to the mark. Should give a great sight again. Distance specialist MALABAR (1) clocked up another win over the mile at Hawkesbury recently at BM64 level. Nicely in after the claim and a big run looks on the cards. Stablemate MORNINGTON PIER (2) got too far back at Kembla last time in a Provincial Championship qualifier - his effort to finish just 1.3 lengths away was excellent. Hard to beat stepping out to the mile. NATOYA (4) has compelling stats at this trip and has placed two from three first-up so she deserves some thought.
