Verdict

MARCHON (5) has not appeared since making a little late ground to finish fifth on debut over 5 ½f at Rosehill in July. In the market that day so a better run was expected. Trialled well recently and over more ground this time looks a big chance to break the ice. ABOVE THE LAW (1) drove hard late but missed in a tight one when resuming over today's distance at Hawkesbury last time out. Ran second in a strong form race at Kembla at the same stage last prep. Sure to be about the money. The Waller-trained CHATTERLEY (10) resumes. Closed last prep with a couple of fair efforts in Melbourne after a good third in the G3 Reginald Allen over 7f at Randwick. Should be forward enough after a couple of quiet recent trials. The consistent EYNESBURY (3) wasn't far away at this track three weeks ago. Getting deep into the prep but should be about the mark again. GRAFFITI TYCOON (4) is a well-related first starter for the O'Shea/Charlton camp. Trialling like an above-average type.
