Jacob Stiff stays with her and his record aboard is a significant positive, while her 6f profile is sound enough to offset the small distance query. MARINERA (7) has been beaten a nose and a neck at her past two and brings a reliable place profile, with a previous win at this track adding to her case. No excuses from the low gate. DEMARCATE (2) had genuine merit in his Scone fourth after racing wide throughout and he is proven at this track and distance, with wet-track figures that suit the soft surface. STAR WHISPERER (3) was only beaten half a length at Coonamble after being forced wide near the 1 ½f, though his limited 6f record keeps him more in the each-way bracket. BLUE DE BEERS (1) finds an easier race but can't draw a decent gate. Place best.
