FETES DES MERES (5) is the horse to beat after a strong Dubbo sequence, finishing second to Nimble Star two runs back and then fourth to Crook in Open grade, beaten just over a length. She now drops to BM82 company, draws barrier 1 and has already won at this track and distance. Hard to hold out. ZAMPANO (4) was below expectations when ninth at Scone after being near the top of betting, but his Tamworth third on soft ground and wet-track record give him clear scope to rebound. CASTLEBAR ROAD (1) brings the most seasoned form, having gone under by only a long neck in Open company at Dubbo, with Gabrielle Johnston's record aboard adding weight to his claims. GREAT POINT (6) was better than fifth first-up at Scone, making ground after a slow start and late traffic, and the return of Leeshelle Small is a genuine plus. KEADOOL (7) drops sharply in weight and ready for this trip and rise in grade.
