Verdict

EXTRA FREE (7) gets the nod on the strength of proven track-and-distance form and a suitable return to 5f after finishing fourth in a 3yo+ Class 4 at Ewan. He was hampered shortly after the start there and covered ground, yet was only beaten two and a half lengths, and his record at this track and distance gives him a solid platform. SPIRITOF THE OCEAN (10) is the immediate threat after going under by just over half a length on soft ground at this venue in a BM55. Right in play. VERY GOOD (8) brings a sound 5f profile and comes through a 3-4yo Open placing at this track, though she was held behind Nottington Prince that day. NOTTINGTON PRINCE (2) resumed with a good second in the same race, has two wins and two placings from five attempts around 5f, and is a genuine player again if he builds off that fresh performance.
