Verdict

HIGH PROPHET (3) was an impressive winner at Doomben last time, finishing full of running. Has more in store third-up and is drawn to blend in nicely again. APOSTLE (2) comes through the same race and was only doing his best work late from a tricky spot back towards the inside. Meets the winner with a handy pull at the weights but is drawn sticky. Thompson taking over is worth noting though. ESPERANZA (7) is a promising filly resuming for the Lipp camp. Tackled quality 2YO races in the autumn and looks to have come on a treat during the break. No shock to see her in the finish. ASHKIRK (4) has dominated in both runs back. Draws to get back again, so watch for him launching late. CAUSE SHE CAN (9) resumes after a successful debut prep. Hasn't been seen at any public work in readiness but the inside pillar should have her right there when they quicken.
