Verdict

SPECK (4) returned from an eight-month spell with a flashing light run a fortnight ago, coming from last on the corner to be beaten in a photo over this course and distance. Goes up a level today but was competitive in open company last prep so she will cope. This is a very nice setup for the second run back. NOT WRITTEN OFF (5) raced handy and held off Speck by the barest margin when they clashed here at today's journey recently. Honest mare who excels in 5f dashes. Looks a huge chance to go back-to-back. SUPER SIOUX (9) was hard to miss when fresh from a spell over 4 ¾f at Moree last time out, coming from a mile back to just miss out. Kept fresh since that outing 45 days ago. Draws a far better gate and is a real threat to other fancied runners. CASTLEBAR ROAD (2) led but tired late in a similar race here last start. Each-way chance. ENTERPRISE LEGEND (3) went fast but weakened at the end of 6f here last time. Worth another chance dropping back to 5f.
