Verdict

KATE'S TIARA (2) is racing in great heart against far better fields than this. Came from last of six to get up for second last start in a Class 6 over 5f at the Sunshine Coast. Crying out for 6f now and in this far easier race she is clearly the one to beat. NIGHT FIGHTER (5) won in this grade over 7f at Coonabarabran two runs ago. Found the line well subsequently in open company at Armidale. Poses a serious threat back in this more suitable contest. MY MATE KATE (9) was plain last start at the second run of the campaign, beaten comfortably over 5 ½f at this track. Has won none from 11 in the first two runs of her preps, but two from four third-up. Watch for a spike in form. TRAPEZE LEGEND (7) has done little in two runs this campaign, both in shorter races. Won over today's journey at Bathurst at the same stage last prep. Can improve sharply. PARANA RIVER (11) is racing well but the wins are hard to come by. Worth some thought on a seven-day back-up.

Form hard to fault. At the latest run 2nd in a small field at Sunshine Coast Cl6 on November 14 over 5f, 1.4 len behind Alloutatime with 119lbs at $17. Before that 2nd of 8 at Ipswich Cl4 on October 17 over 5 ½f, head behind Oberoi Princess carrying 122lbs at $19. Finding the line with real purpose so this longer trip is ideal.
