Leading rider booked and gets his chance from the good draw. SPELLECAST (3) returned for his second prep with a battling eighth over 4 ½f at Newcastle on the heavy track. Struck a bit of trouble in the run and deserves another chance in this easier race. FLAUNTER (7) two-year-old Tassort filly from good mare Kissame Mucho on debut for the Cavanough yard. Improved at her latest trial when third over 5f at Tamworth. Capable of taking this out. PARIAH CAREY (6) motored late from back in the field with a slashing fourth over 5f at Quirindi. Senior rider hops aboard and sure to go close.
