BELLA MONTAGNA (2) has needed the two runs to bring her to her top and backs up quickly after running third over 1 7/16m in the G3 Newcastle Cup. Blinkers go on for this with Tim Clark taking the reins. Expect a bit more intent today, go close. SO YOU ARE (1) in his second run for the new yard he controlled the tempo before booting clear over the rise to score a dominant win over 1 ½m at Randwick in the LR City Tatt's Club Cup. Up slightly in weight and won't get it as easy here. FERNAO (5) came back from Queensland with a slashing second to So You Are in the LR City Tatt's Club Cup at Randwick. Expect to see him race closer from the draw and has the ability to get the better of these. AMPLIFY (4) comes here in peak condition on the quick backup. Chipped away late but never a threat when fourth in the G3 Newcastle Cup over 1 7/16m last Friday. Place preferred. SAM HAWKENS (3) two runs back have only been fair and his best performances have been on rain-affected tracks. Keep safe.
