Verdict

Good race with several prospects. KAI MONDO (3) is a speedy local who won this class by a space before a spell. Has a superb record at this course and distance and looks hard to run down. SAILOR'S RUM (5) is another speed type who is racing well, winning here two back before being swamped late in the latest when third. Well weighted with the claim and will take catching. UNIVERSAL HARMONY (6) was prominent at the bend and finished second last time over 6f at Mackay, beaten 1.5 lengths. Working up to a win. PRESOCRATICS (4) improved sharply last time out to score by 1.3 lengths over 6f at this track two weeks ago. This is tougher but has a strong record at this course and distance and is back in form. TRACK TALE (1) is fitter for two runs back and will be winding up late.
