CLENCH (4) beat Best Eagle home fresh then has since run fourth last time. Also looks ready for the mile now and appeals as a chance. GENERAL GORDON (2) resumed for a new yard over 7f at Grafton in heavy ground and wasn't beaten far. Fitter for the longer trip and expected to be in the finish. ARGYLE GOLD (3) wasn't too far away over 7f on the Sunny Coast last time and is suited here. One of the chances. FROSTY'S GOTCHA (6) is long overdue and can run another good race.
