ERNAUX (1) smart mare unlucky not to have a few more wins on the CV. Total forgive in the G3 P J Bell two-back, then three weeks between runs with a tenacious second over 6f at Randwick in BM78 class. Massive drop in grade and drawn to stalk the good tempo. Go close. SIRAGUSA (4) kept safe in betting with a respectable sixth over 7f at Randwick in BM72 grade. Comes back a level and shapes as a genuine contender from the low draw. EVENTS (11) bounced off her good debut second at Rosehill, with a tough on-pace Maiden win as fav over 5 ½f at Canterbury. Ready for this trip and gets map favours. ALPHARD (10) well bred gelding who got the job done first-up with a sharp 3.5 len win over 6 ¼f at Newcastle. Can progress quickly this time in and has each way claims.
