NARBOLD (13) was three weeks between runs when slow into stride and raced without luck in the straight to finish eleventh over 7 ½f at Rosehill. Senior rider hops back aboard and can finish much closer here. IT'S A KNOCKOUT (14) key jockey change third-up and can return to form quickly despite drawing out. Has a good record over this course and distance and best form is on rain affected tracks. LUGH (2) undefeated in two second-up runs and finds an easier race with the claim. Closed well on resumption when fifth over 6 ½f at this track. Anywhere near his best can beat these. EMIRATE (9) in career best form and gets the right run with the extra weight. Stays in the mix. THUNDERLIPS (3) has a good record over this track and trip and expected to show up today.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.

Superfecta

A wager involving choosing the first, second, third, and fourth horses in one race in the exact order. A superfecta box involves paying more to ensure they can finish in any order in the top four spots.
