Verdict

TWICE AZ COOL (8) returned from a 14-month spell with an impressive second last start over 5 ½f at Scone, hanging on well after showing pace to be beaten less than a length. Draws a far better gate this time and with some natural improvement to come he clearly looks the one to beat. ROCK EMPEROR (6) started favourite on debut last time out over 5f at Tamworth but after leading into the straight found a couple better in the run home. May settle a bit better with the blinkers coming off. Sure to give a great sight. LOBBYIST (9) was handy from the outset but lacked a kick at the end of 7f at Armidale last time. Should be more effective back to this trip so worth including. ENVISIONED (2) is worth another chance off a five-week freshen up with a couple of gear changes. Cannot make a case for the other runners.
