Verdict

LA STIAVA (6) was well in the betting last time and ran a solid race at Albury over 5 ?f after being prominent at the bend. Those figures measure up nicely and have to think that we can see better still. XCEPTIONAL SPIRIT (3) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 4 lengths at Canberra Acton over 5 ?f. Got to bring that form to the grass now but will have every chance to do so and can give this a shake. Also off a win is CASCATA SPRITZ (4) who led throughout last time over 6f at Cowra on soft going. Should be prominent again and gets down the hill no trouble on the home deck. DO YA HEAD IN (1) is also playing at home. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.

Recent form sound. Comes off a 59 day let-up. Most recently won by 1.5 len at Cowra on July 11 over 6f on a rain affected track defeating Cool Nanczye with 126lbs at $4.40. Before that 3rd in a small field in a Mdn-Sw at Gundagai on June 27 over 5f, in the wet, 1.75 len behind Larkin carrying 126lbs at $2.70. Looks hard to beat again on her home deck.
