Verdict

VIVALDA (10) won a trial coming into her fresh run but was just outclassed in Saturday grade. The form out of that has stood up however and this is a much easier assignment here. Drawn better for Fiore and with that run under her belt, she can land the knockout blow. SHILLING LANE (3) was very close in his debut campaign, though that was nearly 2 years ago now. He'll be fitter for two trials coming in, looking impressive in his latest outing where he scored. Pike sticks with him and it'd be some training performance off a 701-day break. MAYTHISBETHEONE (9) has enough speed to roll forward from the wide draw and gets the pacifiers on today. May be able to dictate proceedings up front and she'll take catching. KING BREW (4) will find this tougher, but he was solid on debut and he's worth including. CHORISTER (7) can fire a shot on resumption.

Second-up. First-up after five months 6th of 8 at Ascot 3yo Hcp 62+ on February 21 over 5f, 6 len behind Watto's Mark carrying 119lbs at $21. Previously second-up eased back early on 3rd in a small field at Bunbury 3yo Mdn on September 18 over 6f, slow going 1.2 len behind Chama carrying 121lbs at $2.60. Will find this much easier and this looks right in her wheelhouse.

Resuming. Finished off last campaign second of 9 at Pinjarra 3yo 0Mwly April 10 2024 over 6f, 1.1 len behind Omakase with 129lbs at $2.30. On debut second of 7 at Ascot 3yo 0Mwly March 29 2024 over 5f, 0.6 len behind Riseanfall with 129lbs at $4. Looks forward enough after a recent trial win. Been off the scene for a very long time, though everything points to a forward showing.

Racing well recently. At the latest run rolled along in front then was edged out late 3rd of 9 at Bunbury Mdn on February 26 over 5 ½f, 0.9 len behind Cassenite with 121lbs at $2.70. The race before that crossed from a wide gate to lead but couldn't hold on when 3rd of 14 at Bunbury Mdn on February 12 over 6f, 2 len behind Desert Waves carrying 121lbs at $4.20. Knocking on the door and can play a leading role.
