LADY GIOVANNA (7) has transferred from Waller to Dean Mirfin and is back after a five-month spell. Opened the maiden prep with a close fourth over 6 ¼f at Newcastle then failed at Kembla before being turned out. Opening this prep over a sharper journey. Might be too good for this moderate field. MISHPAT (8) showed her customary speed again last start to lead for the judge but was a spent force soon after in a 6 ?f Cowra maiden. Back in trip in a less competitive race so she might give some cheek. FORTIANS (1) made up a stack of late ground to finish a close second over this trip at Dubbo last Monday. Has had plenty of chances but that effort seven days ago was encouraging. FRENCH HARP (3) has been just behind the placegetters at both runs this prep, but that is her habit after 20 runs. Exotics inclusion. JUST JOAN (4) ran a better race at Dubbo last start and is also in the trifecta and first four picture.
