Verdict

FEDERALIST (1) well-bred gelding resuming who can shed his Maiden tag at start eleven. Failed to see the trip out with a tiring twelfth over 1 ½m in the G1 ATC Australian Derby at Randwick five-and-a-half months ago. Primed with the two trials and did place in the G2 Phar Lap last March. Look for him launching late. NOMADIC (2) snagged back from the wide gate first up with a battling ninth over 7f at Warwick Farm. Placed in the G3 Ballieu last March and strips fitter. Tongue-tie goes on and will be hitting the line hard. RIVER JORDAN (4) returned for his second prep with a gritty on-pace fourth over 6 ½f at Taree with the 130lbs. Blinkers go on from the good gate and can give plenty of cheek. FRANKIE'S BOY (3) returns as a gelding after failing to come up in his first campaign in 2025. Sent south at his second race start with a below-par seventh over 1 ?m at Flemington on July 19, 2025. Fitted with the two searching trials and Tim Clark takes the reins. Improver.
