STAR ANISE (9) is back at the races for the first time since being safely held in the Japanese Oaks. Classy filly already a two time winner at a mile. Has won this trip and goes well fresh. Will relish the hot pace up front and looks hard to hold out. PANJA TOWER (13) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 6f at Sapporo when resuming after a spell. Well travelled galloper who goes well at the trip and won 2/3 when second-up. Will be winding up late. FLICKER JAB (15) went for a break on the back of a win then also scored when fresh in the G2 Centaur Stakes at Hanshin. Strips fitter and is an excellent winning chance. Has six wins at the trip trip and will take catching. RAPIER (10) fought on for second last start over 6f in the G3 CBC Sho at Chukyo, beaten 2 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
