YAEGIRI (11) sets the standard after resuming with a fifth at Tokyo, beaten a length and a half, and that came off a narrow Kyoto second when well-supported favourite. Her record around 1 ?m is sound without being dominant, but she brings the best recent profile and should be hard to beat second-up. EIYU FIRE (5) is the main threat after a close third at this track, with his string of placings keeping him firmly in the contest despite a modest winning strike. TAMAMO LAMP (6) resumes off a plain finish to last preparation, yet his earlier Kyoto sixth was much better and the returning winning rider is a genuine plus. DAIMEI KUMAMOTO (1) can improve second-up from barrier 1, especially if he recaptures the Kokura Dirt Mdn win that preceded his fair return.
