STAR GRIP (11) had been racing well with two consecutive placings before last start managing only sixth over 7 ½f at this track. Record at this journey is strong with three wins from nine runs and is sure to go well. ORWELL (8) started this preparation with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when seventh over 7 ½f at this track, beaten 3 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. ELEPHANT RUN (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 6 lengths into fourth. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. ORIKO D'ELEGANCE (5) made progress last start to finish second over 1m at this track. No surprise to see her in contention.
