GOL DUKE (7) is the top pick on the strength of his latest run, when he was well back before closing with purpose for sixth, beaten just under four lengths by Henny Iris at this track. He has been safely held in recent starts overall, and the 1m record is the reservation, but this is a winnable assignment if he reproduces that closing effort. TOKYO BASARA (5) brings the most reliable recent form, having run second to Bettina before a third behind Jikon, and she also holds a recent line over Gol Duke and La Vraie Beaute. LA VRAIE BEAUTE (11) was fair rather than brilliant first-up when fifth to Jikon, yet that was a clear return run after a plain finish to the previous campaign and she can be fitter second-up.
