Verdict

SCOTTY (2) was back from a freshen-up when trailed to the turn & tried hard but couldn't quite get there last start. Likes this track and will be hard to beat. SUPER PATCH (6) led on debut here and was topped off late in early August and went down fighting again last time at Te Rapa in same race as Scotty. Respect. FLEURS STAR (8) has put in good efforts from the rear in all three starts to date. Step up to 1m should suit here. ESCAPE ROOM (4) has sound form with the recent flop at Ruakaka being over 1 5/16m. Not far away over 1m & 1 ?m around that so must respect here. CALLMEHOWARD (7) was a Foxton trail winner a month ago then kept coming from the rear over 7f at Hastings when fresh. Can figure here.
