ELIUD (1) was a game 2nd coming from well back early two starts back at Te Rapa then kept coming out wide for a close 2nd here last time. Take beating. LOS SALSERO (4) is in good form being beaten less that 2L in last 3 starts. Big runs from the back twice then stalked the leaders and tried hard last time. Goes close here. SEDUIRE (7) was an upset winner last start over 1 ¼m at Matamata but cruised home from midfield and has seemingly turned a corner. BASILTHEGREEK (10) got back last but picked up ground on the inside turn but was blocked for a run last start. Look for him late. TUKITUKI (2) capped sound form when charging home to score an Amateur riders race 2 back then over-raced badly here last time. Possible improver.
