PRESTISSIMO (7) needed her first run back from a spell before setting the pace and just going under by a nose at Waverley nearly a month ago. She gets a lovely swing in her draw, and dropping back to 6f will do her no harm. She is peaking at the right time, and ready to win. CARLOW (1) did not take long to clear his maiden status when winning at Whanganui nearly 3 weeks ago by well over 3 lengths. This field does not look too much stronger, and he has the scope to win again. VAN DAMME (2) ended his last prep with a nose win at Avondale in April. He looked in good condition when placed in a recent trial, and with the aid of the pole position, he is set to give this a shake. Each way. BRIGIT (3) ruined her chances in her last couple of starts by missing the jump badly. She is too good to drop just yet. Stick with her on an each-way basis. ZENZERO GIRL (6) will find this much easier than her last start at Ruakaka 3 weeks ago, and she can make amends here. Keep her very safe.
