Verdict

NEW YORK (7) makes her debut from an astute stable, and she has been given plenty of time to mature. She is bred to relish wet ground, and from a good draw in a very modest field, she can make a winning start to her career. BONUS BOND (6) has all the form on the board, and she loves the wet ground. She will be suited by the small field, and has a great chance to break through for her first win. HARD ROCK CAFE (1) needed his fresh run on the Awapuni synthetic track, and then improved to finish third at Whanganui. Stick with him on an each-way basis. OUR BOY ARCHIE (4) was very disappointing last time out over 1 ?m, and he may be better off over this trip for now. He is worth another chance in a modest field like this. CARBON CREDIT (3) has not featured in 2 starts this prep on the poly track at Awapuni. He won a trial on the turf at Foxton before those efforts, so we are prepared to give him another chance. Keep him safe.
