GRAND PATCH (6) looks set to pick up from where he left off after running over the top to score at this track and trip before the break. He's trialled sweetly since and he's a lightly raced gelding with stacks of upside. He's trending the right way and can go back-to-back to begin the new season. JOYFUL JOY (1) won impreessively at a big price on debut before a 1.5L defeat before the break. He had a very quiet trial coming into this with Bowman on board and he sticks for the fresh effort. Looks set to raise the bar. SOLID CAR (8) is likely to get back from the wide draw, but he flew home to just miss as favourite before the break.
