Verdict

Not the easiest handicap to assess and it could pay to side with LEECH who made an encouraging return when fourth here last month and should prove well suited by this return to a longer trip. Mickey Bowen's new recruit Dance In The Park could emerge as the chief threat, although recent C&D scorer El Bandido Pancho seems sure to go well again. Sparkling Duke is another who could have a say if a yard switch sparks improvement.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Tack

The equipment the horse wears, including saddle and bridle. A jockey typically has their own racing saddle, placed on each horse they ride just before the race.

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.

Yielding

A rain-soaked turf condition often producing a slick or heavy course and slower finish times.
