PANTHER (8) lived up to his reputation when winning his maiden fresh up at Tauranga nearly a month ago in fine style. There is more depth to this field, but with the pace on, he can have the last say. SCOLERA (3) had an excuse when finishing runner-up here a month ago. She lost a shoe that day and stood on the toe clip, which made her action awkward over the final stages. If she has not missed any important work, then she can go one better here. LIECHTENSTEIN (6) is a handy mare peaking third up. Each way value.
