LORD LOGAN (6) settled close to the pace then found the lead but but couldn't finish the race off and finished fourth last start over 1 ?m at Melton, that effort coming after a win at Geelong the run before. Leading hope if anywhere near his best. LIFE ON THE HILL (3) drew wide last start and was easily accounted for, beaten 22 metres into eighth at Kilmore over 1 m. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is drawn to advantage and is up to the challenge. I AM HARRO (8) is the next best after finishing runner-up over 1 m at Shepparton last time out. NEDZA THRILLER (2) is worth some thought after his last-start sixth over 1 5/16m at this track on August 24.
