Can travel in a nice spot from this draw and wait on the sprint lane if necessary. Top chance. ATOMIC BLACK (3) started favourite when resuming but manners let him down. Draws better and will be fitter so has strong claims with his best behaviour. ULTIMATE GLADIATOR (1) gets the ace draw and must be considered after he finished third at this venue a week ago to continue a run of top-four finishes. BOUY (5) goes up in grade but cannot be ruled out after coming from the back row to break his maiden status nine days ago at Bendigo.
