LEXUS LOU (3) led from a wide barrier last start and kept going to score in a nice return to form at this circuit and distance last week, getting home by close to 5 metres. Up in grade but has the speed to take advantage of the low draw so can go right on with the job. CYA ART (10) made it two placings from his three outings over this distance this time in when third at his latest appearance at Newcastle. Has to contend with a very wide draw but should be close to his peak. STARTIN TO GOGH (7) came from wider than this when finishing third at this circuit and distance last time out and was a Goulburn winner prior. POPS JOY (6) raced parked but stuck on for third here last week. Has a handy record at the mile so can be in the finish again.
