FEARFUL (7) scored at Newcastle two runs ago before having his colours lowered when sixth at his latest appearance over 1 ¹/16m at Riverina Paceway, beaten 11 metres. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Primary contender if he is at his best. PAPIER MACHE (1) should be at his peak for this. Finished third over 1 ¹/16m at Riverina Paceway at the latest appearance a week-and-a-half ago. Sure to give the top fancies plenty to think about. MODERN MISCHIEF (3) is the best of the rest after finishing fourth over 1m at Newcastle last time out.
