Verdict

FAKE FRIENDS (8) kicked off her campaign by finishing runner-up in two of her first three starts at Newcastle before tackling some handy fillies at Listed level last start. Has joined Jason Grimson since and while drawn wide she looks well placed dropping in grade. SAN SEBASTIAN (7) resumes from a spell of six months after closing off last campaign in good form, coming from a similar barrier to this to score at his last appearance at Newcastle. Owns a decent record at this distance and is likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. GOT MY EYE ON YOU (3) was first up for six months when second at Wagga last time. Fitter for that and showed promise in winning her first two starts as a juvenile, one of them at this circuit and distance. EYE CAN EAR AMOUR (5) locked wheels when resuming but should strip fitter and had some solid form last time in so can improve.
