Boom colt LOUCASSO (5) has been impressive in winning his two starts at this circuit and distance off a lengthy spell, leading from wider draws and proving too speedy both times. His fitness will continue to build and he should be going forward again from the lower draw so can continue on his winning way. ALERT BAY (3) has chased Loucasso in his last two outings and while he hasn't been able to match him he hasn't shirked his task, sticking on for second both times to continues a long run of consistent form. He draws inside his rival so can be competitive again. LEWIE KELLY (6) hasn't raced since July but did end the last campaign with three straight wins, the most recent coming at this circuit and distance. BLAZING HIGH (4) has come from the back row in his last two outings for an easy Penrith win and a second in a Vicbred consolation at Melton last time out.
