MISTER BLUECHIP (7) is a talented gelding who ended last campaign with a string of top-two finishes at this venue including a win from the outside barrier. Hasn't raced for nine months but has won both previous fresh attempts and will be ready to go off a trial win. ALTA SIERRA (11) made it three wins from four starts since a spell when scoring last time at Penrith. His lone defeat of the campaign came when off this row but he wasn't beaten far as runner-up and did score the only time he raced here so far this prep. THE METAL FLYER (8) looks close to a win after two successive placing at this venue. Draws out but came from wider and worked when beaten only 1.4m two back. MAURLEN BOY (2) hasn't raced for five months but has trialled twice and draws well so can open the campaign with a positive effort.
