CLAUDIUS MAXIMUSS (3) led throughout to win a R75 7f at Oamaru 4 starts back and fair efforts since over shorter trips. Good record at this trip and on the course and can take catching here. GO LOTTE (4) bounced back into form with a good late burst from the rear at Gore last week. Expected soft track suits perfectly. MONAGHAN BOY (2) tracked the speed but didn't finish on last week at Gore of 6 ?f. Good record here and the extra trip might suit him here. GENTLE BEN (6) has a great record this track and trip and he charged home from a mile back for 2nd here back in April. Might need a run but include. DAVID MOSS (7) put in an improved effort last week at Gore when outside leader & fought on OK over 1 ¼m. Place claims here.
