Verdict

AZILEE STAR (4) was never given a chance off a wide gate at Wingatui nearly 6 weeks ago, and has had time to get over that effort. She has a superior gate here and can bounce straight back into the money. Each way. BOBBY MCGEE (5) made the most of a good ride when racing handy throughout, and then scoring by a head at Wingatui just over 8 weeks ago. She has scope, and if she doesn't need the run, she should be very competitive again. WHIRLPOOL (6) motored home to score by a nose at Timaru last start. She will only get better with more racing, and she can take the next step immediately. ROC 'N' READY (8) dug deep when finishing fourth in a stronger field at Riccarton a month ago, and was runner-up at Riverton before that. The winkers go on, and from a good gate, she can take this out. HERE'S LOOSIE (7) had her last start in G3 company at Riccarton after winning her maiden fresh up at Gore before that run. She is back sprinting after 7 weeks between starts, and won't be far away.
