Verdict

SHE'S A FILLY (1) got well back early when first-up but got going late to grab 3rd at Wingatui 3 weeks ago. Placed 2 of 4 starts on soft tracks so better track likely to suit here. MUST BEE (3) put in fair efforts in last couple, picking up some ground from beyond midfield without threatening up north. Might find things a bit easier here. RISK MITIGATION (4) made up a lot of ground from a mile back last start at Timaru when up to this trip. Respect here. ANGEL'S ARMY (2) put in a good run for 2nd at Riverton back in May before a spell. Never in the race on heavy at Wingatui when fresh but fitter for the run. Has placed twice and improvement wouldn't surprise. TICK TICK BOOM (7) worked up outside the leader but was very green in the run and battled late. Ran 4th this trip at Pukekohe last year. Blinkers go on.
