Verdict

Very even race to close the program. NINJASK (6) travelled midfield and couldn't improve but wasn't beaten all that far last start over 7f at the Sunshine Coast. Should appreciate the longer trip. Good enough to play a key role on his efforts of late. KEEP IT LOKI (3) settled last then circled the field to record a most impressive win last time out over 7f at the Gold Coast. Kept fresh since that success 30 days ago. Raced here once at this distance for a win. A proper heavy track might be his only concern. MAPLE DOOR (2) has been beaten around two lengths at all three runs this time in work. Back from an 1 ?m test at the Gold Coast recently which was a bridge too far. This looks a nice scenario. The consistent VOSTOKOVA (12) battled on well for third under a big weight over 6 ¾f at Ipswich last start. Cherry ripe after two runs back and she is looking for this trip now. CHEERFUL CAT (7) has won two from four at the distance and will appreciate the step back in grade.

Form hard to fault. Comes off a 30 day let-up. Last start was well back until straightening, raced back then made ground from the turn, won by a nose at Gold Coast 0 - 58 July 4 over 7f defeating Better Yet with 129lbs at $6. The run before that 2nd of 9 at Beaudesert Cg&E 0 - 58 on June 26 over 7f, slow going 0.5 len behind Mister Selfie carrying 129lbs at $5. Certain to be hard to beat again.
