SEQUEL (6) dominated in the lead two back over 6f at Beaudesert. That earned her a trip to town last start where she wasn't disgraced against some smart fillies at Doomben. Big step back today - great chance to return to the winner's circle. MEADOWBROOK (7) placed twice in a row on rain-affected tracks then wasn't as effective last time in a good track at Grafton. Very fit mare who gets conditions to suit today. One of the leading contenders. LARUSSO (2) is back after a 28-week lay-off. Raced just twice last prep and didn't do a bad job on either occasion in the metros. Goes well when fresh and likes the sting out of the ground so he has a few things in his favour. ARCHIE MAXIMUS (1) won two back on a soft track at the Gold Coast then went up in grade and struggled at the same circuit last start. This looks a nice assignment. HIDDEN FUTURE (11) returned to form at Ipswich last time and is looking to protect a 100% top three strike rate at this trip.
