An open contest. CORSA VELOCE (5) is third-up and stepping up to a mile is ready to fire. Missed a lip here last time over 7f, and has plenty up her sleeve. It's hard to risk the potent Byrne Burke-Trinder linkage. ZANZI (4) was on speed and improved sharply when winning her Maiden by 2.3L here over 7f. A talented 7lbs claimer stays aboard, and the extra 1f looks well within her scope. THIN RED LINE (11) dropped out at Hobart last time, but his two prior efforts at this track would have him right in the finish. Uses the rail, and the premier jockey rides for the first time. COOL CONQUEST (9) has been narrowly defeated in his last five starts. Carries just 112lbs with the claim, but he draws the outside. Goes in but will need everything to go her way.
