Verdict

Very difficult race. PELEUS (3) sat back behind the pace then lengthened nicely to win first-up over this course and distance 38 days ago. Kept fresh perhaps to neutralise a plain second-up record. Has a wide gate to contend with but if things go right he can score again. SIRAGUSA (4) led for the judge but didn't run out a strong 7f at Rosehill last start and was well beaten. Form at 6f reads a lot better. Rock hard fit after three runs back and a return to the provincials is the right move. EXTRA HEIGHTS (2) raced on the speed and was only a beaten conveyance close to home at his last outing over this trip at Rosehill. Draws a nice gate and is a big threat back in this company. SKY DECK (5) continued his fine form this prep when beaten under two lengths by a smart one at the Kenso recently. Loves the 6f here and is a genuine contender. CHEMTRAIL (13) continues to race well but is a small risk at this journey.
