HINZEL (1) returned from a five-week let-up with an eye-catching second last start over 6 ¼f at Newcastle, coming from near last to be beaten under a length. Strips fitter and the blinkers going on at this stage of the prep is a sign of intent from the stable. I AM BRAVE (10) started $2.35 but blew her chances at the start last time out at Gosford. Better placed today on a firmer track over a little more ground. Draws the fence and certainly deserves another chance at just the third run of the prep. Speedy filly ROSE OF FENWAY (5) has led for the judge at all three runs this prep for a win first-up then two subsequent minor placings, the latest over this course and distance. Very fit filly who will look the winner at some stage. ROCKTHEVELIO (7) is a promising filly who brings strong country form to the table. Rock hard fit now and capable of mixing it in this company. OURAGAN (9) was a shade disappointing last time but can improve with the winkers going on.
