BRANNUM (3) stalked the speed and engaged in a thrilling finish when going under narrowly over the 1m at Hawkesbury in this class on a heavy (8) surface. Can put these away today from the good gate. FELIS CHAUS (6) improved off his average first-up run with a fast finishing second over 6 ½f at Goulburn. Clearly come back stronger this prep and can hold a position from the sticky gate. ROSE WATER (10) deep into the campaign and she gets a much better set-up today. Kept finding in the heavy (8) going when third over 7f at Taree. Assess on her good second in this grade at Newcastle three-starts back. ELLISMAYNE (2) turned in a brave performance when he stalked the speed with the 131lbs to finish a close-up third over 6 ½f at Goulburn in C2 class. Fitter now and stays in the calculations. The chances don't end there.
