Wide open but VERHOEVEN (5) looks close to a win and is worth following up. Has hit the line hard to finish runner-up at both runs this time in and the rise to 7f looks perfect now. Expected to go close. LORD HEAR US (1) was safely held before a spell on the synthetic. Prior to that though had shown plenty of ability. Fitter for a good trial and the 7f ideal fresh. PLAYED STRONG (10) was fair fresh then ran a much improved race second-up. Looks close to hitting top and is among the main chances.
