ARISTOPOLOS (1) didn't get it easy but was still too good winning the Elwick Stakes comfortably when backed off the map. Keeps improving, and with the extra fitness and experience, he sets a high bar for his rivals. RAMIRO (5) debuts and has been beaten a nose in both Longford trials. Newitt's booking is a decent push for his chances and he should race well. Ditto CHAMPAGNE ROCKET (7), who nudged the above out in her most recent trial. Has a low gate and will get every chance. Stablemate SOVEREIGN DASH (2) was beaten 4L into third behind Aristopolos on debut and he had trialled well enough. Jake Noonan goes abroad and improvement is likely.
