Verdict

Good race with plenty of winning hopes. Like the look of COLONEL BOGEY (3) though who has placed two of three runs so far. Returned from a break with a fast finishing second and fitter again can go one better. ZAMBEZI BLONDE (6) was safely held in stakes class on debut then tipped out again. Resumed with an on speed third here and will strip fitter for it. Expected to give a sight. GEEGEES MERCEDES (12) is a speedy filly who placed here fresh then was gassed early and faded latest. Has a low draw and will give a sight. JENNI THE CAT (13) is a four start maiden but ran four really solid race, the last two in open two-year-old class before a long spell. Has ability and expected to be winding up late. D'AMBIDEX (7) is better than last start and worth another chance coming back in trip.
