Verdict

SEVEN DAYS (13) returned with a highly impressive performance over 5f at this track 17 days ago, winding up powerfully in the closing stages to grab second. Sparingly raced filly who will be tough to hold out over an extra ½f today. LIGHT INFANTRY (7) tackled a BM68 over this course and distance last time out and didn't finish all that far away after settling back in the field. They should run along in this - might need luck extracting from the fence at some stage but he is a chance if things go right. GILETTE (6) weakened in the concluding stages first-up from a 13-month break over this trip at Rosehill recently. Far better placed today and with that run under the belt she looks a genuine hope. SILK LACE (10) continues to impress, finishing a close third over 5f at Wyong last time. Needs a bit of luck from the wide gate but is right in contention. SPARE (8) has only raced twice and shows great potential. Will go fast and give backers a sight.
