Verdict

OAKFIELD IOWA (2) was an impressive maiden winner last time out over 6 ½f at Scone. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and can win again. KURITHEA (3) returns and filled a minor placing when first-up last prep over 7f at Sunshine Coast. The form around her last time in stacks up strongly for this and two lead-up trials should have her forward enough. NAFANUA (4) is racing well without being able to break through, the latest effort a second over 5 ¾f at Beaumont (Newcastle) a week-and-a-half ago when again leading them up. Doesn't need to improve much to land the winning blow. BRIGHT PROMISE (7) let down strongly to score comfortably when resuming at Nowra last month. This is obviously tougher but she's drawn cozy and has more to offer.
