KINGDOM UNDERSIEGE (2) came from nowhere to just miss in open company two back at Lismore. Tackled a good BM78 in town a few Saturdays back and struggled at that level although not disgraced. Andrew Mallyon has won three times in four rides on the gelding and he returns. In the right race to bounce back to winning ways. LADY WARDELL (1) chimed in late and was just edged out of second by Kingdom Undersiege when they clashed at Lismore over 6f six weeks ago. Kept fresh and gets a soft run from gate one - might just need luck as some stage extracting. RICH STAR (7) made it three minor placings from as many runs this prep when beaten under a length over a shorter trip at Taree recently. Saves his best for Grafton and gets in with 52.5kgs so plenty to like. GREY EFFECTS (3) added to a long run of fine results when a barnstorming second in an $80k quality at Port Macquarie last time. Going well enough to win this. GRASSBURN (6) is low flying and is a chance at the hat trick.
